wall street
Hi I have bought a hydro-assist kit from rob hybrid, same as lama4x4, however this is designed to fit a four bolt steering box. Unfortunately I am running a six bolt box. I have tried replacing the six for the four bolt box but it doesnt fit due to where we have fitted the v8 - hits the oil filter. Does anybody have any bright ideas as to how i can use the bits of kit i have bought in conjunction with the six bolt box. Many thanks in advance. John. SCHREIBER
Quick question... How come LLama4x4 don't recomend fitting their hydro assist kit to defnders that get used on the road? Is it dangerous? Ta, Chris:)
yellow
Not dangerous I believe... More to do with MOT regulations.
TomG
Just to add I've recently fitted the Llama4x4 kit to a 3 bolt box - if anyone does this, you need to remove the top plate, drill out (10mm bit) and retap (7/16UNF) the bleed screw nipple to this thread - the original fitting is tiny and would not flow much oil. David supplies an equal threaded adapter to allow this. The other threaded fittings are fine.
