lansalot
Anyone got an idea what a 1996 P-reg Discovery, 3.9 V8 Auto XS would be worth ? Immaculate, by all accounts, only 55k... Tried Parkers, but it won't go back that far without me paying for the info. Thanks

lansalot
http://www.freecarvaluations.co.uk/ Excellent website, but I don't have the number plate (it's a potential purchase). Anyone ?
FridgeFreezer
A mint P-plate 300TDi changed hands the other day in the club for £1500, a V8 you'll be looking more like £1000 I'd guess.
lansalot
Thanks Fridge, going by the condition and history of this one, I think it's worth more than 1k. Will have a crack and see how I get on Cheers
Guest DiscoTD4
Everyone has their own view on what constitutes good condition etc, so best to go and see what the condition is like for the £1000 ones, then compare as a reference to the asking on your prospective one and see if offers value for money to you. If you can find a decent solid rust free D1 in unmolested condition with low mileage, grab it there's not many left. I'd say up to £2.5K for a decent Disco that's not going to require loads on money thrown at it every MOT would be fair and generally you get what you pay for. Happy hunting
sotal
Just gave Whatcar a go with your details as they do a free valuation. Couldn't find the XS though so had to put the higher model which is ES. It came back as about £5000 for a private sale or £6000 on a forecourt!!! What a Joke I'd guess at a round £1500 from what I've seen recently
