The Yak
Hi. My daughter is driving a P38. As the children she runs about are now growing, she wants to do away with the rear centre seat lap belt and ideally fix in an 'over the shoulder' full belt. The Range Rover is miles away from me and I am not familiar with them anyway. Has anyone on here done this? Perhaps later seats could be fitted as I think they incorporate a full belt? Perhaps a bar/bracket could be fabricated to take the seat belt fixing? I saw this done once in a Defender. Any ideas? I am quivering in anticipation! SteveG
I had this done by overfinch on 1st two p38's I had. They fixed 3 point belt to back of seat and then had a length of seat belt fixed to back of seat that buckled into a regular seatbelt receiver that was bolted into roof. This extra belt was to enable the seat mounting to cope with weight of adults/older children using centre seatbelt. Here's a pic. Don't worry about the belts to both sides, they were for the extra seats in boot, that were out when this pic was taken...
q-rover
Overfinch will no longer work on P38s.
