Anderzander
Do a search Tel - there are loads and loads of threads for advise on winches. The current consensus seems to be the Goldfish is the best budget winch. You don't want to buy a cheap winch and then find the one time you really need to use it it doesn't work!. FridgeFreezer
The general rule seems to be if it's a known manufacturer (even if that's T-Max or Come-Up) it'll work and if it's totally unbranded (like the eBay one) then you're on dodgy ground. Known quite a few people bought these unbranded ones only to have them burn out after a couple of uses.
Young bobtail Rhys
I know someone that bought an unbranded winch and after just a couple of pulls the winch actually snapped in half!
DefcoL
I know someone that bought an unbranded winch and after just a couple of pulls the winch actually snapped in half! same with my t-max... on rear. so spoke with quite a few and then posted on here, where i received some very good advise. I followed that advice and so far all is very well...
