I'm wanting to give "Project Drainpipe" ago, but has anyone done it on a a 3.9 V8 Disco (the 300 version)?? Could instead of buying a 200 airbox and fiddling it in, put the hole saw through both the inner wing and the 300 airbox and then seal it so that it doesn't leak?

What does anyone think??

looking at this diagram, the v8 airbox needs to be cut and spliced to fit a snorkel. the easy way is to move the coil, and use a 200 tdi box.

it also pays to replace the hose between the box and afm with a better one (i've used one off a Ford Sierra 2.0 DOHC, nice tight seal at both ends, and the correct ish kind of angle.
