hi,

sorting out wiring of my 8274,

have the standard motor fitted at the moment and won't be changing for a few months or so so was wondering, would i be able to weld a bolt to the motor casing to act as an earth, underneath the other motor away from the A F1 and F2 connectors?

or is it best to earth off the mounting bolt?

Many thanks

James

no, no bolt to earth to underneath the motor,

you can remove the motor inners from the casing carn't you?

James

Welded a 10mm bolt to the casing as you are suggesting, worked perfectly well.

But the motor wont get the most out of your winch though, 2.5Hp power output aint that good.

The Champion winch motor may be a cheap investment, and lay the old motor to rest ;)

Cheers for reply,

spoke with gigglepin in the end and fitting a bow-motor in a few weeks due to the price increase of the xp to nearly £300
