ragerover
ive a 2000my td5 90 it was a good starter until recently then it was poor 10% of the time took ages to crank over, other 90% of the time started first hit ive just had a clutch and fly wheel fitted by a local garage he noticed the fuel pressure regulator was leaking into the bell housing so this was replaced got it back had to be cranked over for about 2 mins before it would finally go he checked fuel pressure and it was slightly low and the pump was a bit noisey so it was suggested that maybe the pump had knackered as it was over pumping due to the regulator leaking new pump fitted new filter primed the pump now nearly impossible to start needs cranking over and over scared to take it out in case i get stuck some where nearly new battery , new glo plugs 5000 miles ago used to run great

Andrew Chua
have you confirmed that the 4 lines going to the pump are correct? if they are accidently fitted wrongly the truck will have difficulty starting in some cases and eventually the pump will be damaged.
