Comical Engineer
Mini CE No.2 has managed to jam my back door lock on the Disco (300tdi) by grabbing the handle at the exact time I was unlocking it with the fob. Can't open the door either from inside or out and the outside handle is jammed in the up position. Any help gratefully received as I need to take a pile of stuff to the tip at the weekend! J@mes
mine does this occasionally when the spring runs out of wd40! keep a small table knife in the drivers door pocket for the occassion!
V8CAMEL
in answer to a pm all this does is give you acess to the "handle" bit which has stuck in the up postion to allow you release the handle. you still need the key etc to unlock the vehicle. stageonesimmo
You can infact do the same thing without removing the badge by inserting a screwdriver in at the right angle - just that removing the badge makes it easier to do and you can see the pivot points for the handle better.
