stuck
Thinking about instaling a Real Steel "Stump Puller" cam in my rebuilt 4.6 with stage 2 heads. Will also order the relevant valve springs, valve guides, lifters, adjustable rods etc... Looking for maximum grunt at around 4500 RPM, am I on the right track ? Many thanks, Mick. FridgeFreezer
Looking for maximum grunt at around 4500 RPM, am I on the right track ? Are you racing it? 'cos if not I'd say you want the grunt much much lower, and I think the stump puller does indeed put it much lower. I believe Real Steel even have a telephone that you can use to ask their advice on such things
Dave W
What do you intend using it for ? For off road max torque at 4500 seems a bit high or do you mean power rather than torque when you say "grunt" ?

Sorry I meant BHP not torque.
steve_d
The spec sheet offers max torque at 3500. See if they have a graph so you can check the curve. If it is fairly flat then you should have plenty of torque from about 1500. Stump pulling is torque not HP. Steve
