landmannnn
Fitting copper brake pipes, what is the view on how close together the mounting clips should be? I also read somewhere that they shouldn't touch the chassis, fact or fiction?
western
reckon every 12 to 18 inches apart for the clips & keep the pipe clear so it can't chafe on the chassis & wear through to cause unwanted leaks.
steve_d
An SVA test would require the pipes secured every 300mm and clear of the chassis. Steve
Night Train
When I last fitted a copper pipe brake and clutch system to a race preped MGB we used electrical MICC 'P' clips. They were copper with a pvc coating and available in a range of colours and sizes.
