tango90
Hi I was just wondering if anybody has had a similar problem with the ignition on a P38. when I remove the key from the ignition the dash display tells me the key is still in the ignition and I cant lock the doors using the button on the key fob I have to physically lock the door using the key. As far as I can see in the ignition their is a white plastic tab which detects if the key is in the ignition and this has stuck. Is it possible to replace this part without having to change the ignition or is it possible to disassemble the ignition to get at this? steve_d
If it were mine I would attack it with WD40 and free it up. However, I don't know if that is the right thing to do for the long term. Steve

sean f
If you spray it with a bit of WD40 or something similar then wiggle the key about as you pull it out then it will normally release, do this a few time should free it up.
