td5 gear box oil change

Hi

newbie question time.

i have the bias top plate off waiting for a new one to arrive.im thinking whilst its stripped down i could drain off gear box oil and refill from the top.anyone know if this is viable.

mtf94 is the name given to it by texico most oil makers do there version of the same oil i no that carlube do mtf94 but i used castrol in my box got it from halfords see link

and you can fill it from the top of the box because i have done it when i drained the oil and could not get the filler out

thank you. did you pull the gear stick out or remove the carrier plate to get the oil in.
