Top90
For those interested in expeditions... I was looking for a copy of Tom Sheppards fantastic book which went out of print some time ago. It is very highly regarded. There are some second hand copies on Amazon for £100 plus. But although not advertised (and didn't show on google when I looked) the Royal Geographical Society have a limited number of reprints for £39.95 to the UK including postage. This is a later reprint with some aditions, the original was done in some form of partnership with Land Rover. The title is: Vehicle-Dependent Expedition Guide. If you want a copy, look here. rgs.org - our work - publications - expedition and fieldwork - expedition logistic manuals. Happy adventuring! leeds
The RGS was selling the VDE guide for £35 at the recent Overland meeting which they sponsored in Yorkshire. Yep I got my copy there Regards Brendan
Godlykepower
I got my copy from the RGS too. The VDEG is a superb book, and like Ralph says, so too are his other titles. But if I may just throw a little something into the mix; the VDEG can be a little TOO in-depth on certain subjects. Not as easy to come by, but I would very highly recommend "The Complete Guide To Four Wheel Drive" by Andrew St Pierre White. Andrew is basically the South African version of Tom B) , an authority on vehicle based expeditions. By no means DONT read the VDEG, but I always keep the two books side by side for my use, its nice to have a different slant on a subject sometimes.
