We know what does hot weather mean (52C) . i was going to order from http://www.eliteautomotive.co.uk/index.html air con kit today. just wanna make sure is it realy cold .....for me i believe it should be cold because it manifactured by company in South Africa called Smiths and distrebuted by Dunair also in South Africa. these under dash AC kit has been tested in California (USA) where Temp is same as ours ..........am i right ?? any body got under dash AC kit in real hot enviroment?? how it's running ? i got (realy bad one ) the evaporator unit in the engine bay two picture first will be mine and second what i'm looking to buy happy to have idea's from gentlemen's yours, Ali Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
santalars Posted June 4, 2009 Share Posted June 4, 2009 Welcome Ali. Most here live in the UK. So the climate is not exactly making AC a must have. Almost any AC will cope with the temperature here (30 degrees max for a couple of days a year). I hope some of the guys from South Africa or Australia can help you more. Steve cause u'm looking for OEM finish and making sure that i don't waste my $$ thats why i wrote the topics for ............. if you didn't ask you will never know when search on the web i don't come with result as the other people. chuck Posted June 7, 2009 Share Posted June 7, 2009 Ali, I live in Barbados and had a 2004 defender double cab with the OEM version you're looking at... it was OK but not great by any stretch and certainly nowhere close to any of the japanese pick-ups...
