cleaning my k&n

Recommended Posts

Hello all

Anybody got any advice on cleaning out my k&n airfilter? Its a drum type, which i assume is the standard style used on defenders. Its pretty damn mucky so im hoping it might help to improve my lacking mpg!

Thanks

Nick

ps i had a search but didn't find anything

Clean it off with water soluable de-greaser like Jizer or Gunk, then wash it through with water from the inside out.

Allow to dry, re-oil with ATF or similar.

Yes, the concensus is they're carp, though i never had problems with them on bikes, so I'm on the fence a bit on this.
