Cat_J
I'm looking to sell my defender as its no longer a viable work car. what is the general value of a 1991 200tdi with the windows in the back (station wagon?)? Its in very good condition, it drives well, the bulkhead is good, the chassis is good but there are a couple of things that need fixing. The headlights need replacing but they are only like £30 i think, then theres a leaky seal in the steering box that needs replacing and the handbrake shoes and cable need to be replaced but thats it. I've found a picture, its had new hinges since then.
GBMUD
Do the work before you try to sell it. If I buy a car that is exactly the kind of stuff I use to knock the price down. Is it a genuine original SW or one that someone had 'made'? Chris
NicTheOrange90
Quite agree with Chris, Dont give the buyer any room to knock the price down, and stick a year MOT on it...
Cat_J
Fair enough. I need to buy another car anyway but i can deal with that. Its is a genuine SW. What would the value be if the work in completed and its MOTed? I might actually be able to get away with not selling it now anyway but it would be nice to know as an option.
