I want to buy a swivel kit to refurb the front axle but there are many combinations,I have wire brushed the axles in search of numbers but to no avail Is there any way of identifying the axles visually?There is a large disc type "thing" attatched to the underneath/side of the diff. western Posted July 21, 2009 Share Posted July 21, 2009 axle number is on later vehicles made up of letter/number shaped dot punch marks, wire brush/damp rag should make it visiblt, look above the horizontal weld line on the front of the axle tubes.
