light upgrades

hi there , i have a early 90 and was wondering if any one has upgraded the front bulbs , looking for a bit more light up front . not looking for illegal fancy stuff , but bulbs that are fine with the autorities .

has any one changed theres ? was there much difference ?

"Da law" says you can't have a higher POWER bulb (more W's) the the manufacturer fits. What you can so (and I am about to do, and many others no doubt already have done) is to upgrade to +60% or +90% "Xenon" bulbs, which give more light than standard, but at the same wattage. More modern headlamp reflectors can also help, and all this assumes your not talking about sealed beam units :ph34r:

If you do go for better bulbs get ones with clear glass, as any coating

invariably acts as a filter and reduces light output.

I have these and am very happy with them.

They give a very white light compared to standard halogen bulbs.

You could also rewire the wiring using a relay and better wire directly

connected to the battery.

hi , cheers for the replies

looking for simple plug and play types , will be using the standard lenses / wiring . just need a bit more light than thats on the standard ones the now .
