I repaired my rear door which I was told was beyond repair. See photos http://s873.photobucket.com/albums/ab299/landynut_bucket/ if door skin is anyway good door is fixable. adam300Tdi90 Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 Good work. They are pretty simple things really aren't they. Try doing that with a normal car door!! I have just stripped mine too. Nice job on the repairs Thanks The skin wraps around the frame at the edge, carefully, a bit at a time using LR tool no.1 (small) and a block of wood. Nice job on the repairs Thanks If you can use plenty of bond and seal between steel frame and skin. This not only sticks to skin but forms a barrier between metal and aluminum which reacts with each other if left in direct contact. When all is painted give everything a good coat of wax-oil.
