Philip Tonkin Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Anybody have any idea what the rubber seal/gasket that is retained by the oil flier cap is for? I suspect it is maybe to act as a cushion between the soundproof cover and the rocker cover itself. As I don't use this cover, do I need this? Quote
crwoody Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I think as you say its primarily a cusion between the covers but I suspect it also helps to seal around the top of the oil filler to stop oil from getting under the plastic cover when you "miss the hole". Serves no purpose with the plastic cover removed anyway. Quote
