If you break it or snag it, learn to splice it (very rewarding experience) and repair it. You'll just as easily kink the wire rope if when you spool it on badly under load and you can't fix that! Milemarker Type S Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 In relation to synthetic or wire... synthetic every time (unless you are a commercial user...in which case I can see the arguement for wire rope) Synthetic is by far safer and easier to use- even for a beginner. No rats nests, no broken wire strands to stab your fingers, no kinks. Worst case with synthetic is that you snap it- splicing is very easy once you have been shown how.
