Now when the brake pedal is pushed the brakes come on lightly then there is a slight 'bounce' from the pedal and the brakes come on harder. It's like the some sort of brake assist is lagging to come on. I have full brake power after the bounce. So Is that normal ? Will it settle down after a while ? Do I need to replace expensive bits ? The power brake system on these needs bleeding, by following the landrover procedure TO THE LETTER!!!! No other way of doing it will work properly.
