Maverik
LR90, 87 Reg with Disco 200Tdi Got a seriously mangled rear quater panel. Looking at replacing the panel - option A, or replacing the whole tub - option B. As the original rear quater panels are spot welded to to inner sill panel, whast the best way to repair/replace the wing. As Alu skin, kinda rulled out the spot welding, so I guess my only option is to rivet it neatly!?? What kinda rivets should I be looking to use, I was thinking something along the lines of sealed alu or stainless rivets. would I get corrosion problems using stainless ones? Can anyone give me any advice on replacing rear quater panels? If I go with option B, will a TD5 rear tub fit the same as older types? Cheers Mav
landroversforever
If you use the TD5 tub, you will either need to put in a TD5 tank at the rear or move the fuel filler. As its behind the wheel on a TD5.
