muppetdodger
Hi, new to these forums. Been looking for a while, but now we have bought our first Land Rover in quite a few years. Havent had one since an old Defender which was enough to put you off land rovers for life. It didnt work though and yesterday we collected our 2004 Freelander Sport Premium TD4. Very happy with it but we have a few questions and hope some on here can help. When we viewed the vehicle the tailgate window was faulty and wouldnt shut properly. The guy sellin git said he would fix it which he has done, but the window doesnt look aligned properly and hence doesnt appear to shut fully. The glass looks to be over to one side too much. Hopefully we can fix this fairly easily. There was also water in the boot in the recess under the floor. I'm hoping this was caused by the leaky back window, but could it be coming in from somnewhere else? Service record is ok, without being brilliant. We are going to get it serviced asap. Is there anything we should in particular get done at the service. I see alot on here about the crankcase breather and will get that checked. When first started the engine is slightly rough when cold, is this normal or could there be a problem of some sort? Other than that most seems ok with it. Will get some pictures up asap. Thanks for your help in advance.
schuee
Nice looking Hippo Read this on Landyzone, maybe of some help Freelander Tailgate Also have read about water ingress in the cubby box, and it has been the boot seal, though in your case could be due to the window not closing correctly, Water Ingress I have had the crank case breather done at the dealers, also have had rough idling, though this was an injector, hopefully its not the case for you mate, Let us know the outcome Cheers Keith
