DrRob
Why has the turbo started whining / hissing slightly as revs build and and then goes on gear change. All pipes are new and tight - even shelled out £50 on new air box to turbo hose as it was split. Checked free play in vane when inlet pipe was off and no movement in or out. Is it just "dumping" Ta Rob
matt bristol
Are you sure its not just the noise of the turbo boosting correctly now you have all new and clean hoses etc? Failing that I'd suggest an air leak at where the pipes connect or the intercooler
jmattley
My 200 hisses gently, makes a turbine type noise but quietly, I'm sure it's supposed to.
disco_al
my 300 does it as well, more noticeable now i've fitted the snorkel and the silicone hoses. did wonder if it was something serious, but power delivery is still fine, so not worrying about it - besides which it sounds nice with the n/s window down
