v8bobber
Hi all, My Range Rover, obviously concerned that my life is too boring has decided that it won't shut it's tailgate for some reason. I havent used it for a couple of weeks and and it did this once before but i think its had it now. The lower tailgate shuts fine but when i go to shut the top bit it won't stay shut. Unfortunately i have so repeatedly slam it to get it to stay shut, and i mean REALLY slam it shut! I'd say about 20 attempts to get it to close, and stay shut. I had to slam it so hard this evening that I thought the glass was going to break. Any ideas? Regards, Dave
David Sparkes
Struth, Have you gone to all that effort and stress and not even bothered to look for any means of adjustment? Not even looked in the Workshop Manual to see what that says about fitting or adjustment? Shakes head in despair.
100 david
Open the lower tail gate and remove trim and spray some WD40 on the latch and if it needs adjustment do it a little at a time, mine sometimes wont shut so i spray some WD on the latch and it ok, i have never had to adjust it yet.
