renault4
looking at a reconditioned chassis with no V5 what's the DVLA position on this?
western
IIRC, DVLA request that a chassis which has been replaced is cut up & scrapped as it's identity is now on the chassis that replaced it [if it was a like for like change] probably best to ring DVLA & get the info direct. Aragorn
If the chassis your using is second hand, your vehicle will lose its ID and end up on a Q plate.
cieranc
You can only use a chassis with no ID if it is a brand new chassis. You then swap your original chassis number onto the new chassis, and destroy your old chassis. Destroy means cut up, not just cut the number out.
