changing from rotaflex coupling to ujs

im going to change from the rubber donut coupling on my 300tdi to a 200tdi type prop

what drive flange do i need as ive been told i need one off of a defender and not a disco is this right?

any help appreciated

Try the 4 bolt flange from a D1 V8 that dosen't have a donut I think that's the later models like mine ie.1997.

dare I say...

there are some on ebay that sell complete kits, which is where my flange came from and I bought a 200Tdi Disco rear prop locally.

Beware that when fitting the 4-bolt flange, some diffs need a spacer to take up the extra shaft length. Oh and it helps to heat the centering pin on the old three-bolt flange to break the seal when removing it.

There are 2 lengths of flanges 49mm and 61mm or Ashcrofts do a spacer which cost me about £7 delivered.

i see that devon 4x4 do a flange kit as well how will i know what length flange i need

The longer one for a 300 diff, if you use a 4 bolt flange from a 200 you have to use a spacer.
