nicks90
check your fuel pump as well, cos if they fail to work or get a bit weak you will struggle with sustained heavy throttle settings and it'll lose power etc. the injection pump will 'suck' enough fuel to run it normally, but will struggle to 'suck' enough fuel at full tilt on the motorway. Then you get periods of fuel starvation very much like you described. One way to check if your pump is keeping up with demand is to give it a good thrashing so that you experience the running out of puff symptom and them pull over and quickly turn the engine off. Unscrew the fuel filter and have a look to see if it is full to the top. if it is, fuel pump is fine and something else is wrong. if its half empty, buy a new fuel pump. ps. as you are new to landies - you probably wont know this yet. Avoid Britpart spares..... there, nuff said.
