Frogland
There are oily traces around the turbo to intercooler elbow area and the bottom intercooler hose. The hoses are in good condition. They pressurize. There's no play in the turbo.I don't have a boost gauge,i'm concerned that oil may be finding it's way into the boost pipe .Is this oil coming from the crankcase breather ? ,the main air inlet doesen't appear particularly oily. -Bog standard 110 300tdi 1998

Adam001
Sounds relatively normal, the turbo compressor shaft floats on oil bearings so some oil is expected to leak through. So long as you do not have blue smoke while the engine is running you shouldn't need to worry Adam
