Silverbake Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 V8 Disc 1 with auto box. When I engage diff lock, the dash light comes on as expected and seems fine. However, individual wheels can still spin. Is the diff simly not locking, or could there be another reason? Any advice gratefully received. Silverbake. Gromit Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 If the OP is spinning individual wheels with the diff locked, then something is wrong. With the diff locked, you should be spinning 2 wheels, on different axles. You can test the diff lock by jacking up one front wheel. With the main box in neutral, handbrake on and the diff unlocked, the raised wheel can be spun by hand. Locking the diff and it should not turn.
