sharpy Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 Hi all, could anyone tell me the part number for the spring that sits under the top plate on a disco fuel pump where i believe you can tweak your engine as i have a performance one in there and want a normal one. disco_al Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 performance one? the spring that sits under the top cover (the one held on with 4 bolts) isn't available separately from landrover. you may potentially get one from a bosch injection specialist though. there is (AFAIK) no performance version available, i expect someone in the past has done the pump tweek, in which case it would need to have the procedure reversed, or if they did it right, there should be a mark to reset the diaphragm to. sharpy Posted July 12, 2010 Author Share Posted July 12, 2010 I dont know, all the guy at the garage said was that the spring in there now is blue, and it shouldnt be?, he has also said that he has adjusted it to the max to reduce performance and it wont go any further because the size of the spring.
