300 tdi engine mounts

Recommended Posts

are the brackets that are welded on the chassis that hold the rubber engine mounts on a 300 tdi flush with the top of the chasis like on a disco or are they lower down the chasis rail?

i have cut off the old mounts on the 110( nissan straight 6) and need to make up new, easiest way seems to make up some plates attach to rubber mounts and lower engine into place, tack in place ,remove engine and strenghten mounts.... sorted???

hope this makes sense???

Defender 300 is the 2nd from left.

Think the best solution is to as you have said bolt the engine up to the bell housing and then tack the mounts in place. remove and weld properly
