ThreeSheds
I have been thinking for a while of converting my 1990 RRC to a pickup. My plan is not to change anything except the upper bodywork so I don't foresee any problems with SVA, but I am looking for your thoughts on what I should tell the DVLA - the registration document says 'ESTATE' which it obviously will no longer be, but I am worried that telling them it's a 'pickup' may get them thinking that it should be classed as commercial. Does anybody have any suggestions or recent experience of this please?
rickdulas
I've had a look at my range rover log book and the one for the 110, and although the body type is different, the tax class is the same, i.e Private Light Goods. The 110 is classed as Light Utility, which is what a Range Rover pick up would be surely? HTH Rick

I am pretty certain that I will do this now - it's just a matter of plucking up courage and setting to with the cutting disc...
