defender dinky Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 hi all,d90 200tdi 1987, this squealing sound started very small but now seems to be very frequent and lasting longer, when i put my head by front off side wheel it sound really loud, but when i put my head under the bonnet i struggle to hear it over the engine,also i noticed by accident that when i lean on the wing it stops, and when driving it seems to stop or pause when coming to a junction when braking, but i can't find out what it is, pressed everythng pulled evrything incase it's something rubbing, to no avail any ideas. cheer's defender dinky Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
western Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 check all the wing bolts are tight, seems strange it stops when you lean on the wing, what are the shock bushes like ? look at the spring for cracks, check all round that area for any other loose bits.
