how much is a freelander worth???

my bro has a v-plate freelander that has the k-series 1.8 petrol engine, the head gasket has gone and its just run out of mot, other than that it is immaculate, leather interior, 3 almost new tyres, was just wondering how much he should ask for as he wants to sell it as it is

its a 5 door and its in cornwall

With no MOT and engine fault its probably worth more as parts. I saw an MOT'd running example locally last night for £750 although not with leather. I'm also picking up a standard car with duff engine hopefully this week for scrap money (£80 or so). It has been lying a while and seats are a bit mouldy but it should supply some donor back up bits.
