Ratty43
Having discovered that my rear calipers haven't been doing much for a while a rebuild is needed. The bleed nipples are rusted in so I want to replace them, does anyone know what the size and thread on them is as it'd be much easier just to pick up some generic ones. Thanks in advance, Ratty. Maverik
A nipple for everything... evidently. Linky here I think the thread is 3/8" UNF
Ratty43
Thanks for that, if he had more than one for sale I'd go that route but I need all 6. According to the Rimmers website it's a metric thread.
axlechorus
I had a similar issue needing to replace all my brake nipples after the previous owner had gone at them with the mole grips. I just went to my local land rover parts specialist and brought some bremach ones in bags of 6 or 8 for about £4, they seem to be doing the job well after a year. Ratty43
Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I've just bought four M10x1.0 bleed nipples, if they fit, which I think tey will I'll put it up since they are significantly cheaper than the "proper" ones. Ratty43
The new nipples fit so the thread is M10x1.0.
