Off Road Toad
Have searched and had no great success - does anyone know what the offset of a LR defender/D1 freestyle type alloy wheel is? Or a modular 7 or 8J x 16? Looking at fitting some ZU's which have an 11mm offset, that doesn't mean alot if you don't know what standard is! Aragorn
ET33 for most stock defender steels and alloys Wolf/1Ton rims are ET20 iirc Modulars vary a bit depending on who made them. Off Road Toad
Thanks for that info Aragorn very helpfull - unlike britpart! However their stated 11mm offset is still meaningless as i don't know what their backspacing etc is. So does anyone have a picture of ZU's fitted to a vehicle? preferably front on so i can see how much/little they stick out in the real world? Cheers, Steve

Cheers, Steve I saw some on a friends 100" the other day (he had used spacers), they look very nice but will not "stick" out an further than say the alloys on your disco will/do... Aragorn
steve: offset is completely independent of the backspace? If they're 7" wide, then an 11mm offset will mean the wheel sticks out approx 22mm more than a standard landrover alloy.
Off Road Toad
This is what i am trying to figure out - i don't really want to run spacers, i just want to know how they compare to say a regular off the shelf modular etc, i'd be happy if they stick out similar to a modular. The reasons for looking at ZU's is i will be running Simex or Silverstones and i want to keep weight down, i'm currently running quite heavy wheel and tyre combo and it doesn't do alot for fast offroad handling. I ran standard freestyle alloys for years with simex and didn't really have a problem (i did eventually crack one, though iv'e bent plenty of steel rims) Steve.
