hobson
Can anyone help me figure out the colour codes for wiring a stereo on a mates new discovery 1? whoever fitted the last one made a right mess and i can't figure out what goes where as in their wisdom they've cut the main connector block off. i've taken some pics but can't put them on yet, i was hoping someone might be able to tell me which colour is for what? oh, and i tried taking off the speakers to trace back the wire, but they're completely different from anything i have coming out of the dash! thanks
Roverbo
Hi, I would use a "D" cell 1,5 volt. When you get the right pair of wires it will pop in the speaker. The low voltage won´t damage the speakers. If your wires aren´t marked "+" and "-", or with a black stripe, it will be hard to get them connected "in phase". The woofers should move "forward" when connect + from the battery to the positive wire. Regards, Bo
SPendrey
Do you have Rave? The wiring is described in the electrical section. Scott
hobson
No i don't have rave, and i'm using one of those crappy usb dongles at the moment so it'd take me about a week to download it! any chance anyone could mail me the relevant page?
