mr_mcp
Does anyone have any tips for removing the pulley from an alternator? I can't get the bugger off, the nut is too tight and I don't have a vice to hold the damn thing still!!
Andy
I think I jammed the fan bit with a large screwdriver when I did mine. An old fanbelt clamped up with molegrips around the pulley might be a better idea though.
crwoody
As above, (the fanbelt option,) but it helps no end if you have a buzz gun too, the impact action is very good for reluctant nuts where you have limited grip on the shaft it's attached to.
