minivin Posted June 14, 2006 Share Posted June 14, 2006 Actually, here's the plate for mounting the inertia reel: The feeder loop then goes on top of the bulkhead as per my three point harness mount, down to the normal locking point by the driver and down to the door B pillar base. Les Henson Posted June 14, 2006 Share Posted June 14, 2006 You can fit any make of seat belt as long as it's securely fixed. On catflap I had the reel and the end anchored in the corner behind the seat, and then up to shouler height on the 'B' Pillar. The lock mechanism was attached to the crossmember under the rear bulkhead, and then up through the floor behind the seats. I made my own brackets by welding two pieces of 50mm angle iron together to form a 'T' shape, then 4 x m8 bolts through the bodywork and a spreader plate on the opposite side. Considering the standard item is 4 x 7/16" bolts, I would say the job I did was stronger. If you need those two brackets that are on top of the rear bulkhead Richard, let me know. Les. minivin Posted June 14, 2006 Share Posted June 14, 2006 Where/what does the Inertia reel bolt to? as per me photo, it mounts to the square plate that is rivetted to the bulkhead, it sits between the bulkead and the drivers seat, sends the belt upto the first guide at the top of the bulkhead, and then over the seat top over the drivers shoulder Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
