western Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 most likely that bolt secures & prevents the shaft from turning in the pump body, doesn't need lubricating, the shaft bearings are lubed for life & sealed so the coolant can't wash the grease out, there is one stud with a nut & the rest are bolts, never lubricated my 200tdi's water pump, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
