squeezebox
Hi we have a landmark TD5 discovery 2004 the other day the driver side wiper started moving oddly... then both the wipers stopped completely, we took it to our landrover dealers and they replaced the fuse or fuses, drove off and it worked once then failed again, took it back again and the same thing happened... the landrover service chap said sounds like theres a short somewhere. also out of frustration my OH decided to pull on it...and he thinks he has damaged some thing...which when he describes it to me ..he said he probably sheared the little teeth on something Hes asked me to find parts but ive no idea where to start, and hes allergic to the internet. can anyone help please? bear
Hi Squeezebox, Here's a few links to start with. I'm sure someone else will be along soon with "words of wisdom" www.lrseries.com www.britishparts.co.uk www.island-4x4.co.uk http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DLS-LAND-ROVER-SPARES-UK http://www.mailorder4x4.com/index.html http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/SubCategory--Land-Rover-Discovery-2--m-292 Regards
q-rover
There are no teeth on the spindles. Very easy to check, just flip off the little plastic cap. A central nut holds the arms on. Personally I have swapped to arms from a D1. Saves buying silly expensive wiperblades, instead any generic blade of the right length fits.
