peter deer
having said that ,the pistons do not want to come off the bottle :pulling ,knocking gently with a mallet :no way the LR jack must be a different system ? Leak is between the thin piston at the bigger one Any suggestions ? Peter

zim
I tried once to strip a LR jack and didn't get too far I'd like to do so, to add a pressure gauge into them to be used for corner weights. G
peter deer
i have now bought one on ebay and taken the old one down (wiyh a hacksaw ,to see how it works in fact ,what one shoud do ,is unscrew the bottom piston from the base and evertthing comes off easily after that Obviously ,be very careful not to mark the piston it was O ring on the upper piston that was damaged it would have been simple to replace .Shame I did not know !!
