nato to hitch

Recommended Posts

I may be getting a sankey widetrack in the near future and am confused about what I actually need to bolt on to my rear crossmember. Is it just the hitch itself,or do I need the drop bar as well? And do I need a strengthening plate on the inside of the x-member?sorry if it's been asked before

Hiya,

I have a nato hitch directly bolted to my rear cross member, inside there is a steel plate abpout 4 mm thick which the bolts go through and the plate is a few inches wider sideways, my sankey sits slightly upwards as i have a three inch lift, the drop plate arangement is as far as i am aware only needed if you have the ball arrangement which is a lot lower
