rocky
Hi, I have just fitted new drive flanges to the rear of my 90, has taken all the play out of the drive train. They were very a very tight fit. Had to draw the half-shafts to get them on. My question is, how difficult is it to fit new flanges to the front--if the shafts go in, the flanges will be that tight i'll not get enough protrusion to get the circlips on. Hope I'm making myself clear, need all the help I can get. Regards, Rocky

western
IIRC the stub shaft on the front also have a threaded hole in the end, can't remember what the thread type is but screw in a suitable bolt to hold the shaft while the driving member is slide on & bolted tight. rocky
thanks western, should the drive flanges be tight on the half-shaft. the ones I put on the rear were very tight!
western
they should slide on without binding on the halfshaft, you shouldn't have to knock them on with a size 1 BFH
rocky
Will it cause any damage being tight?
western
doubt it, the shafts are very hard wearing the driving members will bed in to each shaft as the work together.
