JimAttrill
If it starts and ticks over fine but will not accelerate from there it is normally an air leak in the diesel induction system.

Tetsu0san
Lift pump perhaps?
stubbo
May seem a silly question but have you checked the vacy pipe from the turbo for splits or holes as you have disturbed it? When i got my Disco it had no guts to it. A man in the know took one look & found a hole in the pipe. Quick swap & what a difference it took off & pulled like a totaly differance vehicle. Just a thought.
dooroy
Check for air leaks - split hoses . Next fuel pump ( what miles has it done ?) - and if changing fit a genuine one . Also turbo may not be operating - have come across a few where the owners had come to accept loss of power as due to wear in engine.
