flyshooter
Well I'm flummoxed, When locking my Disco the trafficator lights don't flash. The doors all lock as they should. On unlocking the lights give one flash of approximately 3 - 4 seconds. I've done a fair bit of trawling on the net but can't find any information on this problem. Any help would be appreciated. teabag
You should look in your owners handbook, as it states indicators not flashing as you discribe is the indication the system gives that the fob battery will require replaceing soon,
flyshooter
I have read the owners manual and everything else I can and I replaced the batteries in both FOB's some weeks ago when the trouble first started and I'm still no closer to solving it. Ratty43
I don't know if it's the same with later models but on mine (1993 central locking without remote) if you held the key in the locked position for about four seconds then the indicators didn't flash which was to tell one that the alarm was not active. flyshooter
Ratty43, Thanks for that however I have remote locking on my Disco. I'm investigating along the lines that I might have an aerial (or earth) problem. On the weekend I will have a look behind the trim on the passengers A pillar as I believe that is where the aerial is located. As well as this I will investigate what affect the bonnet switch being open circuit has. I found this when checking the components of the Alarm system. RaDi90Hybrid
Just a thought, when my central locking plays up (as it does from time to time) I press the unlock (or is the lock) button 3 times quickly and it seems to reset itself and behave for a while longer. Can't remember where I heard about this but it seems to work. Here's hoping!
fabsj
i had the same problem after breaking a pin switch so the bonnet pin switch could be causing the problem
