Mean Green
The 200Tdi at work has developed a major problem in as much as the engine does not stop when the ignition is switched off. I assumed the stop solenoid so changed it.... ok for about 2 weeks then started again. The lift pump was changed recently... so I doubt it could be that. What else could be causing the problem ... Injector pump?? Something else?
western
pull the solenoid again & look for very thin slithers of metal, if you find some the injection pump needs a rebuild, the slithers are from the cam/roller that pressurise & distributes the fuel to the injectors, they can & do jam the sollys plunger from moving.
