Iv changed headgasket, turbo rebuild , new valves an stems oil seals , started it up an its still smoking blue smoke. When I stripped down my 300TDi after I blew the head gasket I had to wait for 6 weeks to get the new "evolution" head from the UK, in that time I turned the motor over so that all the pistone were in line -- 1/2 way up the cylinders and made up a very thin mixture of kerosine and engine oil, arround 60% Kero, 40% oil and filled the cylinders. After 6 weeks there was no leakage past the rings so I was confident that the few tiny scores in the 3rd bore were of no consequence.
